Une galerie de 57 km \u00e0 2 000 m sous terre, au c\u0153ur des Alpes suisses.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1421 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/bordeaux167.legtux.org\/wpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/gothard4-300x288.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"379\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bordeaux167.legtux.org\/wpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/gothard4.png 300w, https:\/\/bordeaux167.legtux.org\/wpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/gothard4-200x192.png 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 379px) 100vw, 379px\" \/> Plus long de 7 km que le tunnel sous la manche il a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en service commercial le 11 d\u00e9cembre 2016.<\/p>\n<h3>Caract\u00e9ristiques:<\/h3>\n<p>Il relie les cantons d\u2019Uri \u00e0 Erstfeld et du Tessin \u00e0 Bodio. Il s\u2019agit \u00e9galement du tunnel le plus enfoui au monde puisque sa couverture de roche atteint 2 450 m\u00e8tres de hauteur. Sa construction a dur\u00e9 21 ans. Il est essentiellement destin\u00e9 au trafic ferroviaire \u00e0 grande vitesse. Pour les voyageurs, le temps de trajet en train entre Zurich et Milan est ramen\u00e9 \u00e0 2 h 40, soit un gain de 1 heure avec un vitesse de 200 km\/h dans le tunnel. C&rsquo;est un tunnel de base, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire de faible altitude, \u00e9vitant ainsi aux trains une phase d&rsquo;ascension pour y acc\u00e9der.<br \/>\nLe tunnel poss\u00e8de la caract\u00e9ristique de n&rsquo;arborer aucune signalisation lumineuse tout au long de ses deux galeries de 57 km. La transmission des informations de circulation se fait au moyen d&rsquo;un r\u00e9seau de balises, gr\u00e2ce au syst\u00e8me europ\u00e9en de contr\u00f4le des trains de niveau 210.<br \/>\nLe tunnel de base du Saint-Gothard a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit depuis 5 points d\u2019attaque (2 extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s et 3 points interm\u00e9diaires), soit du nord au sud :<br \/>\nErstfeld, portail nord du tunnel, environ 7,7 km.<br \/>\nAmsteg (canton d&rsquo;Uri), environ 11,4 km.
